Data Centre Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain data centre equipment including servers, storage devices, and networking hardware.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all data centre systems.
• Respond to and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software.
• Implement security measures to protect data integrity and facilities.
• Collaborate with IT staff to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and incidents.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a data centre technician or similar role in IT support.
• Strong knowledge of server and storage technologies, including virtualization.
• Familiarity with data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose technical issues effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
